MARY ANN ROSSONI and her big band The ROSSONIANS With opener 'Jesse – Jack'son'
It's a triple birthday party! Not only
will the Peeptoad be turning 10, but Mary Ann and bandmate Paul Dube will both be hitting the big 5-0 the week of the show! Rossoni's music is cross-generational, original, acoustic rock n' roll ... or in today's terms,
Americana-ish. Her music is very upbeat and inspirational; but she's known to throw in a few hard-luck gut-wrenching tunes into her sets for the weepy, pensive types. After all, her life isn't perfect either! For
this very special show Mary Ann will be joined by her big-band, The ROSSONIANS, featuring Jack Gauthier, Guitar & Mandolin; Joe Potenza, Bass; Paul Dube, Harmonica & Accordion; Dan Hann, Drums; and back-up vocalists
Betsy Dake & Ginny McCormick.
18 year-old crooner Jesse Liam will
be joined by his father, Jack, for their duo, aptly named 'Jesse – Jack'son'. They have been especially lauded for their tight harmonies and irresistible stage presence that are the hallmark of this father and son duo.

AZTEC TWO-STEP
It's been three years since Aztec Two-Step last performed at the
Peeptoad ... they are long overdue! After taking their name from a Lawrence Ferlinghetti poem and recording the first song ever written about Jack Kerouac's iconic American novel, On The Road, Aztec
Two-Step has been described as the bridge to the Beat Generation and instrumental in ushering the music of the 1960's into the 70's and beyond. For more than three and a half decades, Rex Fowler and
Neal Shulman have been writing and performing songs that helped make their generation's musical memories, all the while inspiring a generation of young singer songwriters.

PAUL GEREMIA
Paul Geremia has built a reputation
as a first rate bluesman, songwriter, a "scholar" of early jazz and blues, and one of the best country blues fingerpickers ever with his tools - six and twelve-string guitars, harmonica
, piano and a husky soulful voice. And with an innate sense of the humor as well as the drama of the music, he keeps traditional blues fresh and alive with his performances. Paul has recorded ten
solo albums, and has appeared on numerous anthologies and compilation discs. His superb recordings have made him a critical favorite and place him firmly among the legends who inspired
and influenced him over the past four decades.

HARVEY REID
Veteran multi-instrumentalist Harvey Reid makes his first Peeptoad
appearance, presenting a holiday show for the whole family. A songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, Harvey Reid has honed his craft over the last 33 years in countless clubs, festivals, street
corners, cafes, schools and concert halls across the nation. He has been called a "giant of the steel strings" and "one of the true treaures of American acoustic music." He has absorbed a vast
repertoire of American contemporary and roots music and woven it into his own colorful, personal and distinctive style. His 20 recordings on Woodpecker Records showcase his mastery of many
instruments and styles of acoustic music, from hip folk to slashing slide guitar blues to bluegrass, old-time, Celtic, ragtime, and even classical.

Friday, January 16, 2009 @ 8:00 PM Bluegrass Double Bill with ROCKY HOLLOW & THREE TALL PINES Veteran bluegrassers Rocky Hollow share the bill with one of the hottest new bands to hit the scene, Three Tall pines. Rocky Hollow
Bluegrass became a band 25 years ago and still contains three original members – husband & wife team Nancy Hutchings (lead Vocals) and Dick Hutchings (Banjo), and Dick's brother, Gary
Hutchings (Dobro & Lead Guitar). Rounding out the band is long-time Rocky Hollow member Dan Parker on Doghouse Bass and Nashville native Monty McClanahan on Mandolin.
Three Tall Pines is a four piece co-op that relays the emotions of
early American rural life through the sounds of impassioned harmonies and progressive instrumentations. Dan Bourdeau, Joe Lurgio, Gian Pangaro and Emily Rideout make up this harmonic co-op
and play to the classic sounds of acoustic guitar, mandolin, upright bass and fiddle. Their music is influenced by singer-songwriters from Gillian Welch, Bob Dylan, and Jimmy Rogers to the bluegrass styles
of Bill Monroe and Ralph Stanley, and the Scottish fiddling of Tim O'Brien and Bonnie Rideout.
